Red is a slow colouring is the title of this piece whilst also a reference to a song by rock band called the gathering taken from their incredible double album how to measure a planet. That album is one of my all time favorites getting me out of some dark mental places. This piece was inspired by me being bullied which resulted in me being so low I started self harming and I'd watch the blood trickle and drip down my arms to cope with what I was experiencing this bullying lead me trying to take my own life which resulted me being placed in a mental health care day unit volunterary or I would of being sectioned. I barely wear just shirts usually in long sleeved shirts to hide my scars. Red is also one of my favorite colours. This was exhibited at my Solo art show.

The walk the wait the reply was painted in just under a year I think in oils and oil bars the canvas was a strange size for me. This was never exhibited.
This was based upon a walk in the park with a young women we never dated but we were close I met her in one of my other hospitalisations.i never got the reply she was sectioned and the last I saw of her she was getting married we lost touch with each other.

Number one a dyptic a reference to the bus stop near Sheffield hospital the bus I caught daily whilst my now girlfriend was ill whilst waiting for the bus I'd stare at the same spot mesmerised this is my interpretation. This was bought by an ex pop star but a story in its own right.
